More than seven million patients worldwide are remotely monitored on at least one medical device, a 45 percent increase from 2015, according to tech analyst Berg Insight. ResMed leads the world with more than three million cloud-connected devices – PAP machines and ventilators for patients with sleep apnea, COPD and other respiratory conditions.
“Remote monitoring and automated coaching have dramatic impact on patients’ health,” Sodhi said in a recent announcement about the benefits of connected care. “These results show great promise for the role remote monitoring and coaching can play in helping treat a range of chronic diseases.”
