HHCAHPS Honors is a national program that HEALTHCAREfirst established to recognize home health agencies using its HHCAHPS service that provides the highest level of quality as measured from the patient’s point of view.

Award criteria were based on HHCAHPS survey results for an evaluation period of April 2017 through March 2018. The highest-performing agencies were identified by first analyzing respondents’ willingness to recommend them, and then a series of publicly reported measures over a 12-month period.
HHCAHPS Honors recipients scored above the HEALTHCAREfirst national average on at least 85 percent of the evaluated questions. In addition, HEALTHCAREfirst awards a special recognition, HHCAHPS Honors Elite, to recipients that scored above average on all the questions.
