Berg Insight estimates that the installed base of connected sleep therapy devices reached 3.4 million units at the end of 2016, which can be compared with 2.0 million units in 2015. The rapid increase is to a large extent due to ResMed’s push in the market. ResMed has established itself as the clear market leader in remote monitoring of sleep therapy patients with an estimated 2.0 million connected patients at the end of 2016.
